Terms of service
Last updated 15 October 2026
curling.cam is live-scoring and live-streaming software for curling clubs, operated by Gareth Jones ("we"). By using the website, the tablet scoring pages, or the curling.cam box application, a club agrees to these terms.
The service
We provide the scoring pages, the public scores and TV pages, the club admin page, and software for an encoder computer at the club that composites cameras, the scoreboard and sponsor logos into a live stream. The service is provided to clubs under whatever commercial arrangement is agreed with them separately.
The club's responsibilities
The club is responsible for what it enters and uploads — scores, team names, logos and links — and for having the right to use any logo it uploads. The club is responsible for its own YouTube channel, its cameras, its network, and the content of its streams, and for complying with YouTube's terms of service. Admin links and tablet links are credentials: the club should keep them to the people who need them and ask us to reissue them if they are shared too widely.
Google and YouTube
When a club authorises curling.cam box on its YouTube channel, the application acts only on that channel, only to manage live streams and broadcasts as described in our privacy policy. The club can withdraw that authorisation at any time.
Availability and warranty
We work to keep the service running during the club's draws, but it is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Live scores and live streams depend on the club's tablets, network, cameras and internet connection, which are outside our control. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
Ending the service
A club can stop using the service at any time and ask us to remove its data. We may suspend or end the service for a club that uses it in a way that harms the service or other clubs, with notice where practical.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Questions: gareth@gareth.com.
